The Attractions
It was by no means a foregone conclusion, but good ideas rarely are. Carlo Ferrari's brilliant intuition was to use the mechanical components of the Fiat 500 and 600 to make a compact car capable of tackling any route. The result was this, the Ferves Ranger.
The Ranger was designed to be at home in the most remote and inaccessible areas of Italy, navigating narrow paths, rough roads and cultivated fields without any problems. It was equipped with a specially made body and raised trim and used the mechanical components of smaller Fiat cars. Only 600 were made, in both 2WD and 4WD versions, and this very special example was number 327.
Produced in 1968 and first registered in October 1969, this 2WD Ranger had only six previous owners. Its vibrant yellow paint was applied during a complete restoration carried out in 2016 by the previous owner, which included work on the body, paintwork and mechanics. It has covered only 453 km since the restoration was completed.
It is in truly remarkable condition, and is probably one of the best-preserved of the very few Rangers produced. It has just been overhauled and was thoroughly checked by independent mechanics to ensure that it was in perfect shape.
There are few classic cars this rare and special. Don't miss this opportunity.

SellerI am selling my beautiful 1968 Ferves (Ferrari special vehicles) Ranger, chassis number 327. This car is the twin of the car auctioned by RM Sotheby's, during Monterey Car Week 2019 in Pebble Beach, sold for $196,000 https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mo19/monterey/lots/r0166-1967-ferves-ranger/793137 The car was fully restored, in all its parts, in 2016. I am selling it because I hate to keep it sitting in a garage, when it could be a yellow jewel in a beautiful mansion. The car is practically new, it has covered very few miles.
