The Attractions
After World War II, several countries introduced 'people's cars' to exploit the strong demand for economical family cars. But only Volkswagen, the company named after this concept, created an icon that conquered the world.
That was the car we call the Beetle. It was a vehicle of such quality that it changed little during its long life, especially in 1968 with the introduction of new bumpers and revised headlights.
Finished in a stunning green colour, this is one of the first '68 'facelift' models, a restored 1200 cc model in original factory-spec condition. It was clearly loved, having remained with its first owner for 45 years before being restored by an enthusiast 10 years ago. This work has been well maintained as it only needed a light refresh when the seller bought it two years ago.
As rich in character as it is practical, this car is a superb example of the ingenious Beetle.
