The Appeal
There are MGBs and then there are MGBs. For the many proper enthusiasts of these ultra-usable cars, the one to have is the early Mk1 with its array of first-generation features.
This Mk1 builds on its originality with some later improvements that will appeal to aficionados. Most obvious is the bespoke grey metallic paintwork, part of a comprehensive restoration commissioned around 10 years ago. That work included a full shell strip and rebuild alongside a gearbox rebuild and mechanical overhaul. All using quality MGOC and Moss parts.
The car is in great order. There are some cosmetic points to note and a few areas warranting attention on the running gear, but these look like straightforward fixes. With that sorted and featuring its distinctive - and maybe appropriate? - registration plate, this pretty early B will be ready to use and enjoy in 2025.
