1968 Humber Sceptre

The Appeal

Humber were one of the oldest names in British motoring - stemming from the pioneering days of the 1890s - and by the 1960s, amongst the most distinguished. While their owning company, the Rootes group, was a company of standardisation - every one of the Humber cars sharing the Arrow platform - they maintained a special level of respect for the Sceptre, which was intended as their executive car. For many of the well-to-do, this model was a status symbol.
Known for its refined styling and comfortable ride, the Sceptre stands out among its contemporaries. This particular 1968 car is a noteworthy example, presenting in a dark blue exterior with a very impressive heritage cabin, and is equipped with a manual transmission featuring five gears.
In recent years, this fine car has enjoyed a peaceful life, with only gentle touch-up work required to keep it looking sharp. It now offers a great opportunity to take on a true mid-century British classic.
