The Appeal

The Jaguar Mk2 may be one of the best-loved classic saloons of all time, but aficionados know there is a related car that is, for many, arguably better. That is the Daimler V8-250.
Equipped with Turner’s superlative small V8, the Daimler is the Mk2’s more luxurious cousin. These cars were built for cruising and comfort, which makes a good one perfect for weekend trips or longer classic car tours.
This beautiful RHD 1968 V8-250 is classically finished in British Racing Green and arrived in the warm climes of Cyprus in 2008 from the UK. There began a comprehensive restoration managed by its long term owner, the work carefully documented in typed records and photographs and totalling over €35,000.
The attention to detail and originality is noteworthy. The BMIHT certificate confirms it retains its factory colour scheme - the green paintwork complemented by a retrimmed Cinnamon interior.
With just 2,200 miles covered since the six year restoration was completed in 2014, it is no surprise that a long Greek technical inspection certificate supports this car’s very good condition. It is valid to February 2026. This is a reluctant sale due to family reasons.
With such sparing use since completion, this car must be about as close to buying a new V8-250 as possible. A rare opportunity for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
