Right-hand drive, German import now registered in the UK
Full respray and modern camping modifications carried out around 7 years ago
Superb interior with freshly coach-trimmed seats and rock-n-roll bed
Upgraded all external locks with new Heritage Parts Centre handles and locks
The Appeal
A 'Splitscreen' Type 2 Volkswagen is still the ultimate classic camper and a bonafide style icon at that. Most seem to have undergone extensive customisation - radically lowered suspension and the like - but it's quite refreshing to find one that remains more or less as the factory intended.
This lovely 1967 Type 2 is right-hand drive - quite a rarity. It remains commendably original and while the camper interior boasts a few welcome modern touches it is nonetheless faithful to the style of the period. The interior features freshly coach trimmed seats, a rock n roll bed, and a new kitchen setup making this van the perfect vehicle for family trips away or days out at the seaside.
The van has been kept garaged by both the previous and current owners and reportedly used only during clement weather. Benefitting from a full respray and completed approximately 7 years ago, it continues to present very well indeed, turning heads wherever it goes.
