The Appeal
British engineering and Italian styling is a provably fine combination when it comes to building sports cars and Triumph’s affiliation with Michelotti stood them in good stead for a number of years. The handsome TR4 was loved for its styling and performance, although some felt it was let down by its primitive live axle rear suspension. Listening to their customers, the TR4A gained independent rear suspension and Triumph were so proud of the fact that they adorned the boot lid with a prominent ‘IRS’ badge.
We’re delighted to offer this thoroughly sorted 1967 example which has received a great deal of improvement work and servicing in recent years. The vendor reports that it drives brilliantly and has proved immensely reliable.. It’s presented in fantastic condition for its age too, so if you’re looking for a smart classic roadster that you can put some miles on, this TR4A is a very tempting proposition.
