Highlights
- Rare drop top creation – just 3,500 ever built
- Fully restored example
- Very little use over the past two decades
The Appeal
Produced between 1967 and 1970, the Siata Spring was a project by Italian firm, Siata, aiming to create the young motorist’s ultimate car. Emerging from a survey conducted by the design house, it is a drop top model built upon Fiat 850 underpinnings.
An early car, first registered in 1967, this model was purchased by its current owner 20 years ago in 2003. Since then, it has been through an extensive, bare bones restoration. With lots of work done including an interior retrim, full respray and new soft top as well as the replacement of many mechanical parts, this is seemingly a brand new car.
Having covered just over 2,500km in the past two decades, it’s time this car was used properly and enjoyed. Perfect for a top-down cruise, this is the ultimate fun car.
