1967 Porsche 718 RSK GP Spyder Replica by GP Projects

Highlights

  • Highly accurate 718RSK Replica
  • Race tuned Formula Vee engine with similar power to original
  • £15,000 build in 2000 with only 800 miles since
  • Carefully detailed evocation in superb condition
  • UK registered ready for re-registration or export

The Appeal

The 718 took Porsche’s first racer, the 550A, and in typical fashion evolved it. Light, nimble and devastatingly quick, they were highly regarded track weapons.
Just 35 were built over five year from 1957 to 1962. So lets assume buying one is the preserve of a very lucky few with exceptionally deep pockets.
Which makes this GP Spyder replica very appealing. A dimensionally accurate recreation by GP Projects the attention to detail has been followed through to the Formula Vee engine which, at 100bhp, closely replicates the thrilling performance of the original. Only around 1,500 GP Spyders were built by GP Projects, which makes even this replica particularly rare.
It was built in 2000 at a cost of £15,000 and remained with the same owner until 2015 when it arrived in France.  With just 800 miles on the clock, this is very close to a brand new GP Spyder as any buyer is likely to get. Step in, fire it up and discover a viscerally thrilling sports car.
