The Appeal
Here is real find for Land Rover enthusiasts: a Series IIA that is also a rare factory Station Wagon. Solihull-built models were uncommon when new thanks to higher taxes, although many were later converted to station wagon specification.
This Station Wagon has been extensively restored by Leaf Sprung Landys, with less than 1,000 miles since completion. It also has a fully rebuilt, period-correct 2.25litre Land Rover engine. The joy of this work is that it has been supervised by the enthusiast owner, who has ensured that wherever possible original features were kept.
The result is a beautiful and very smart classic Land Rover with the advantage of a restored, galvanised chassis, but blended with the gentle patina of its 57 years. This wonderful classic is now ready for an equally enthusiastic Land Rover buyer. For those in the know, it is a treat not to be missed.
