1967 Ford Mustang Coupe C-Code V8 289

HIGHLIGHTS

  •  Low mileage American muscle car
  •  Radiant blue paintwork
  •  Imported from the U.S. in 2019
  •  Excellent interior
  •  Recent expenditure

THE APPEAL

Since it’s introduction in 1964, the popular Ford Mustang marked the emergence of a new breed of smaller American cars that still packed a punch under the hood. The sporty coupes and convertibles were an instant success and over 400,000 sold in the first year of production and one million within two years.
This Mustang was apparently gifted to the last owner in the U.S. from his grandmother who purchased the car new. Originally Vintage Burgundy, it was repainted in the U.S. and the low mileage is believed to be genuine.
Now radiant in it’s coat of blue paintwork, this American muscle car is a real head-turner, the interior is in great shape, and the 289 V8 burbles along nicely. Not quite concours, there is a little room for improvement, but this classic Mustang is definitely worth a closer look…

Purchased from GTS in February 2021, the current owner has also made some recent improvements to the cosmetic trim, and reassuringly, had a Tracker/immobiliser professionally installed.

Having been driven very few miles since a mechanical overhaul by GTS a couple of years ago, this Mustang appears to be road-ready. The owner tells us that this V8 fires into life easily, pulls well and has no untoward exhaust smoke or suspension rattles. It certainly sounded awesome during the photoshoot.

SUMMARY

This genuine ’67 Mustang is one of the most desirable and sought after American muscle cars around. They are renowned for being easy to maintain with good parts availability and upgrade choices, and this unstressed V8 should be reliable for many miles to come.
How many of us have always fancied a Mustang! - so go on, why not treat yourself, take to the highway and enjoy the unmistakable styling and fantastic sounding V8 burble.
