1967 Daimler V8-250 Barn Find

Highlights

  • A fantastic barnfind Daimler
  • Purchased by the owner in 1989, driven home and left in a barn until now
  • The interior is in particularly good condition
  • Low mileage at genuine 45,000 miles
  • Wonderful Restoration project

The Appeal

In 1967, Daimler decided that their 2.5 V8 needed an update, so they made a few tweaks including thinner bumpers, perforated leather upholstery and an alternator and came up with a new name: the 80-250. The changes may have been subtle but they helped modernise the car in the eyes of the public.
This particular Daimler was purchased by its current owner in 1989 and we’re told that he then drove it home, parked it in a barn, and left it. There it stayed until November 2022, 33 years later, when it was brought out, the dust was blown off and it is now presented for sale.
Clearly a careful check over will be required to see exactly what work need to be completed, but from what we can see it appears to be in remarkably good condition. Looking at the blue leather seat covers, you wouldn’t think that this car had been abandoned in a barn for the past three decades.
So if you fancy a project, this Daimler offers a great opportunity to get stuck into one from a good starting point.

Summary

Whoever gets the chance to awaken this Daimler from its slumber will be putting a fine motorcar back on the road. It has style and class written all over it, and who wouldn’t want their car to have a V8? It will be an interesting project, from a great starting point.
