The Appeal
BSA’s first unit-construction four-stroke motorcycle, the humble C15, marked a significant chapter in the Birmingham firm’s history. With a 250 cc capacity, the C15 could (only just) be ridden on ‘L’ plates in period, meaning it was the first proper motorcycle many experienced. That leaves many bikers nostalgic for their formative years on two wheels, making the C15 a very collectable machine.
This 1967 example has weathered in nicely following an older restoration. It’s in lovely condition, remaining very original and now exhibiting an attractive patina. The engine benefits from new piston rings, valves and valve springs, so is in very good running order. The bike benefits from road tax and MOT exemption, meaning it’s inexpensive to run and ready to go.
