The Appeal
Launched within a year of the groundbreaking E-Type, the Jaguar MkX made use of much of the same technology, becoming Britain's largest monocoque car and boasting such modern features as four-wheel disc brakes and independent rear suspension. Enormous, luxurious, and powered by a Le Mans-winning DOHC engine, the MkX was a seriously impressive car. Ot would remain in production for nine years, later renamed the 420G.
This 1966 MkX, originally sold by a Jaguar dealer in Madrid in 1966, has a fascinating history that spans several countries. It was sold to a customer in Switzerland in 1969 and later found its way to Poland in 2016, where it underwent a meticulous restoration. The restoration was carried out to the highest standards, albeit with a departure from the original colour scheme and gearbox, as confirmed by the Jaguar Heritage Trust.

A comprehensive set of documents accompanies the car, including invoices for parts and work, expert inspections, and Jaguar Heritage Trust documentation. Registered as a historic vehicle in Poland, it has been part of a large collection of British cars and driven very little since 2020. While it may benefit from a service and light recommissioning, it is reportedly driving well.
