The Appeal
When Ford announced the Mustang in 1964 an American icon and the term American Muscle car was born.
Imported from the USA in 2015 this lovely coupe comes in great condition and in a very striking and fetching colour, Tahoe blue metallic with a matching two-tone blue interior and that all important 289 V8 engine.
Nice and original, the car has had only a couple of UK enthusiast owners, who have maintained and serviced the car regularly throughout their ownership, using it mainly for trips out to classic car club meetings, shows and events.

Since arrival in the UK, both owners have kept the car garaged, enjoying it regularly although not doing huge mileage.
The current owner had intended to firm up the Mustangs’ ride with an Export Brace and Monte Carlo bar but hasn’t got round to fitting them, so these are included in the sale.
The Interior
- Blue vinyl seats
- Good original condition throughout
- Five-dial dash
- AM radio
Finished in two-tone Blue, the original interior is looking great, with carpets and original dashboard, headlining and door-cards all in fine condition.
The sporty five-dial dash displays fuel, oil pressure, water-temperature and battery voltage and the original three-spoke colour coded sports steering wheel is also present.
Internal chrome fittings show some sign of age and use but are all generally in good condition and the drivers’ seat base, which has been recovered, is a slightly different shade of Blue. It also comes with the correct Mustang dealer-fit floor mats.
The heater, fan, vents and wipers all work just fine, with all windows being nice and clear and rolling up and down smoothly and easily.
The Exterior
- Lovely Tahoe Turquoise metallic paintwork
- Optional factory steel sports wheels with good tyres
- All original body panels
- Good chrome trim all round
The paintwork is in mostly excellent condition with only a few small signs of age and use and some very minor scratches and the odd chip in the paint.
There are no outward signs of any corrosion and all the badges, chrome trim and bumpers are still good and bright with some slight pitting to be found on the window trims.
The wheels are all good and all sit on recent new rubber and this Mustang Coupe looks very striking from all angles.

- 3 speed automatic transmission
- Nicely detailed and clean engine bay
- Clean and dry boot area with chequered boot liner

The 289ci V8 runs beautifully and a very smooth 3 speed automatic transmission make this a great car to go cruising in, accompanied of course by that very addictive exhaust note.
Summary
A great example of a 66 Mustang coupe 2+2, with that big lazy V8 engine and presented in a rare striking colour that compliments and accentuates those iconic and classic lines.
