The Appeal

The most successful example of this model currently competing in the UK (and probably Europe), this TVR Grantura 1800SS is a seriously competitive historic racing car with multiple wins and podium finishes to its name over the past five seasons.
The 1800S sits between the MkIII 1800 and MkIV Granturas, featuring a subtly redesigned chassis and cut-off “Manx tail” rear bodywork fitted with round rear light clusters you’ll no doubt be familiar with from the Ford Cortina.
Campaigned by Lee Atkins, with Lee Atkins at the wheel, this TVR is a non-FIA car but is registered with Equipe GTS and also suitable for HSCC/CSCC. This is a turn-key bespoke race car with substantial chassis, suspension and bodywork upgrades.
The TVR was prepared and run by TTP Performance, who the vendor informs us would be happy to continue running the car for a new owner subject to agreement. It boasts a fresh zero miles engine, recent complete rewire, spare wheels and documented history since the original build.
A well-known car in historic racing circles, not least for its immense success in competition, this 1800S offers an excellent opportunity for those seeking a ready-made racecar with a proven track record.

We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own  full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
