The Appeal
Subsequent Rolls-Royces may have got more sophisticated and certainly more numerous, but have they got better? Looking at this gorgeous Silver Cloud III we’re really not sure.
It helps that it is finished in one of the best colour schemes for these final quad-headlamped cars: Silver Mink over Garnet. Inside there is a smart grey leather interior with extensive walnut trimmings.
This is an original UK market RHD car - believed to be one of only 547 - and was first supplied by London dealer Jack Barclay. After spending time in the USA, it returned to the UK in 2016 when the previous keeper began an extensive renovation. Since 2019 it has been in dry storage and therefore little used since that investment was applied. The interior shows some light patination while the bodywork and paintwork present at a high level.
The car is said to be in good mechanical condition and to start and run well; due to the long-term storage, the vendor advises that the brakes would benefit from a checkover. Once done the buyer gets a car that is is as rewarding to look at as it surely will be to drive.
