The Appeal

Built from 1962 until 1980, the MGB Roadster was the best-selling British convertible of all time with nearly 390,000 being made, the majority of which were exported to America. Powered by an 1800cc 4-cylinder engine producing 95 HP providing a 0-60 time of around 11 seconds.
Its sporty looks and predictable handling helped to make it one of the most popular British sports cars of the day and the early MGBs with the slim chrome bumpers are amongst the most sought-after models.
The car was restored by its previous owner in 2018, after purchasing it from an elderly gentleman who had recently had the car SORNed for three years due to ill health. The car was then sold to South Norfolk Classics where the current owner purchased it in 2021.
Presented in striking Iris Blue which really suits it, the matching numbers car looks absolutely stunning with roof up or down and having only driven 1000 miles, the vendor feels it needs to find a new home where it will hopefully enjoy greater use.

A beautifully restored 1965 MGB that looks stunning and is ready to go. While there may be a few around on the roads today, to find one in this condition isn’t so common. With a very willing sounding engine this could represent the gate to lots of very enjoyable driving around the country roads, roof down and wind in the hair. It will also likely appeal to collectors so will be one to watch.
