The Appeal
Arguably one of the most legendary roadsters of all time, the Pagoda has gone down as one of the most enduring classics on the market. Powered by a rock-solid, free-revving six-cylinder engine, the Pagoda boasted a pretty advanced fuel injection for the time and offered a not-to-be-sniffed-at 148hp, with handling that placed at the very top of its class.
Really, though, if there's one thing that made the Pagoda unmissable, it was its design cues. Everything about the W113 was subtle and suave, while still being flamboyant and engaging. Taking in its subtle curves, Bosch fishbowl lights and that distinctive, oh-so-iconic Pagoda roof made for an utterly impeccable silhouette that continues to demand attention.
This example was imported from the USA in 2014, and has been with the current owner ever since. Pampered and well-presented, the car was graded very highly on a recent valuation report, and really does look like a fabulous example through and through.

Beautifully presented in a fine white colour scheme, this Pagoda is a fabulous ambassador for why the W113 is so great. Curvy yet determined, its bodywork and lines are arguably unmatched - and this one is all straight and well-presented, with no significant dents or dings, and the chromework still casting a bright contrast.
Factor in the colour-matched wheels and the navy blue soft top, and you've got a really classy classic - admirably original and well-kept by its cossetting keeper. This theme continues through to the beautiful cabin, which was well ahead of its time for the era - minimalist and elegant, with MB-Tex upholstery and a decidedly uncluttered dash.
This example has fine, rip-free upholstery, clean legible instruments and nicely presented trims. There are only the gentlest signs of wear, and everything is so original that it resembles a time capsule.
Finally, peeking underneath the car, everything is clean and well-kept, with no significant corrosion or intrusive levels of wear.

The Mechanics
- 2,306cc straight-six engine
- Manual transmission
- Engine bay looks in good order
- Reportedly drives very well and is raring to go
The Pagoda surprised with its performance back in its hey day, and even now is no slouch on the asphalt. The straight-six engine boasted a multi-port fuel injection system, which collaborated beautifully with its suspension and - for the time - powerful brake hardware. The result is that the W113 is one of the most rewarding classics for the discerning driver.
This example is true-to-factory, and is reportedly in fine running over. Not something you should miss - and coupled with its fine condition, we're content it's a truly excellent example of a very capable car.
