The mighty Jag would later be acquired by the current keeper in 1995 and has since received a tremendous amount of care and expense. Throughout their ownership, the vehicle has received regular servicing, dry garage storage, and most importantly; an incredibly thorough restoration.
As part of the extensive restoration process, the vehicle received the likes of a full engine rebuild, new axles, new carpeting, refurbished wheels, and of course, a full respray. Now offered in fantastic condition, this E-Type is more than ready to be enjoyed by the next lucky keeper, and will surely continue to impress wherever it ventures.
The Interior
- Believed to offer a mostly original interior
- Features new carpeting, and sun visors
- Offered in excellent condition, with very few signs of age or wear
Rather impressively, this now 58-year-old Jaguar is believed to boast a mostly original interior, featuring the original seats, steering wheel, dashboard, instruments and more. In fact, the only new interior items to show, are the fresh carpeting, and a new pair of sun visors, still sporting their labels.
Despite its age, the interior offers a very respectable finish throughout, with only light signs of age and wear to show. As expected, these can mostly be found on the driver’s seat, and tunnel trim, although the minor blemishes present hardly detract from the overall form or function.

Facing forwards, you’ll find the dashboard and centre console in excellent order, with only the pictured minor blemish to show. It is certainly worth noting that all interior instruments and controls are believed to be in full working order, and proudly boast clear finishes, and tidy contact points.
Overall, you’d be very hard-pressed to find fault with this mostly-original E-Type interior. There are of course light signs of age to show, but these are a wholly worthy trade for such a brilliantly preserved cabin.
The Exterior
- Previously restored with new door skins, a new floor pan, a new tailgate and a new bonnet
- Recently restored once more, with a fresh Carmen Red respray
- Features refurbished wire-spoke wheels
- Benefits from re-finished brightwork, and chrome details
- Offers a fantastic finish all around, ideal for collectors
The E-Type offers some of the finest styling yet to grace the roads, with an iconic front end, sleek coupe roof lines, and classy accents as far as the eye can see. It’s a truly fantastic showcase of British design, and will forever stand as some of the most beautiful automotive art ever put to metal.
This particular example showcases the iconic design brilliantly, benefiting from previous replacement panels, and a fresh respray as part of its recent restoration. The Carmen Red paintwork offers a very glossy finish across the board and contrasts brilliantly against the gleaming brightwork for a very impressive finish. There is slight bubbling to note towards the rear right quarter as pictured, yet this is seemingly only noticeable upon close inspection and hardly impacts this E-Type’s glorious presence.
Accompanying the fresh paintwork and re-finished brightwork is a set of freshly refurbished wire-spoke wheels. Having covered such few miles since being refurbished, the wheels offer impressive faces, with matching Jaguar spinners, and excellent Pirelli tyres to enjoy.
With the exception of the aforementioned minor bubbling and incredibly minor blemishes from use, this E-Type’s finish leaves nothing to be further desired. It’s a vehicle that would no doubt steal the spotlight at the finest of shows and will proudly serve as the centrepiece of any collection.

Even by today’s standards, the E-Type remains very capable, and continually receives merit for its performance.
Buyers will be pleased to know that the current keeper reports no mechanical or electrical issues are present, ensuring many happy miles ahead. This is no doubt the result of regular maintenance over the years, as well as the recent engine rebuild, and a welcome array of new, or refurbished parts.
