The Appeal
If you’re looking to embark upon a large-scale restoration project, you’ll no doubt be seeking something rare, exotic and beautiful. This Iso Rivolta 340 scores highly on all three points.
As one of only 160 ever made, you’re unlikely to see another on the road. While Iso began its foray into automobile production with the Isetta microcar, slow sales in the firm’s native Italy prompted a shift toward luxurious grand tourers. Like its contemporaries, the Jensen Interceptor, Gordon Keeble, and Monteverdi High-Speed, Iso chose to combine European styling with American horsepower.
This 1965 Rivolta 340 was originally supplied to the United States and has now been imported to the Netherlands with all taxes paid. As the photographs attest, it’s a highly original example, now in need of full restoration. As a basis for for such a project, this is a fantastic starting point since the Iso is highly complete, matching numbers, and offered in running, driving order. It even still sits upon its origins (and very hard to come by) Borrani wire wheels.
It would be an honour to return such a magnificent car to the road. Will you be the one who takes it on?
