Highlights
- Recent engine rebuild
- Recently imported from Texas, USA in 2021
- Mechanically sound and well-running project Mustang
The Appeal
The Mustang, a classic American icon; a tried and true “pony car” with hot rod roots and racing heritage to back it up. Originally introduced in 1964, Ford’s Mustang was designed with a small footprint and sporty attitude, which took the world by storm and inspired generations of competition from its rivals.
This particular car is a prime candidate for your next running-and-driving cosmetic restoration project. With room for improvement on the exterior and interior, this Mustang provides endless possibilities for your creative freedom to update it exactly as you see fit.
It has lived most of its life in the USA, and has only recently been imported to the UK in 2021. The original inline 6 under the bonnet has been replaced with a 302ci V8, which was rebuilt right before coming to the UK, with invoice to prove. The small block V8 provides a welcome boost in power and breathes to life with a lovely-yet-restrained roar, then settles to a mild idle. While its cosmetic condition shows room for improvement, the owner tells us it’s mechanically sound and ready to drive.
This is an excellent opportunity to pick up an iconic American classic which has been imported from the dry climates of Texas, USA. This Mustang is, in our opinion, an ideal project with room for your own improvements and restorations, or it can be driven and thoroughly enjoyed as-is without the worries associated with keeping a classic car in absolute perfect condition.
