The Appeal
The Ford Mk1 Cortina may not be what comes to mind when you think of a rally car. Designed by Roy Brown Jr, the car was intended to square up to the likes of Vauxhall and Morris when it came to a usable but distinctly stylish but affordable saloon. It not only did that ably, but thanks to its stiffness and the high-performance Lotus Cortina, it's managed to garner quite a following.
This 1965 model is a genuine GT upgraded rally car, complete with FIA papers. The car is in very good condition, with no rust and minimal imperfections on the bodywork and paintwork. It has been upgraded with a close ratio gearbox and steering box, and features adjustable suspension and a one-inch front anti-roll bar. A perfect opportunity to take on a lesser-spotted rally car!
