The acquisition of Daimler gave Jaguar much-needed factory space and control over a rival. There was one extra benefit - the firm’s excellent Turner V8 engine.
Jaguar wasted no time dropping it into the Mk2 shell to create the Daimler 2.5 Litre V8. Smooth and luxurious, these cars offered a relaxed and unruffled alternative to the Jaguar version. For many years they have lived in the shadow of their Big Cat alternatives, but enthusiasts are returning to them for the qualities they offered original buyers.
Classically finished in popular Regency Red, this 1965 2.5 Litre V8 is in very good, factory-standard order. A thick history file attests to caring owners. Reportedly running and driving very well and with a smooth gearbox, it is perfect for relaxing, comfortable classic rallies and road trips and looks very appealing.
