The Appeal

Back in the '50s and '60s, rear-engined cars weren't nearly such an unusual sight as they are today. Following the lead of Volkswagen and NSU, BMW devised the small, monocoque 700. Boasting svelte Italianate styling by none other than Giovanni Michelotti, the 700 was well received, securing the financial security of the then-ailing BMW and also proving a highly successful competition entrant in hill climb and endurance racing.

Today, they're a rare find, so we're delighted to present this rather lovely 1964 example. it's had just one previous owner from new and with just 32,415 kilometres (20,142 miles) on the odometer, this car presents a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Its condition and originality make it a worthy addition to any classic car collection.
