Highlights

  • 5,000 miles since extensive mechanical restoration
  • Upgraded for competitive classic car tours
  • Rebuilt 1.3litre engine and Ford 5spd gearbox
  • Solid car that’s designed to be used and enjoyed
  • Long term enthusiast keeper since 2015

The Appeal

There are classics that spend their lives being polished and shown. And there are cars like this lovely ‘64 Herald that are driven and enjoyed.
The long term keeper has treated it as a rolling restoration since acquiring it in 2015. Inbetween it has been thoroughly enjoyed on competitive classic car tours. Thanks to a larger - professionally rebuilt - 13/60 1,296cc engine and long legged 5spd Ford gearbox, this light car is more than a match for much bigger machines.
The condition reflects those priorities. It is solid and presentable, not obviously requiring work, but there are areas the buyer may wish to treat as another stage in the rolling restoration. Said to be reliable and great fun to drive, it is ready and waiting for an equally enthusiastic owner.
