Highlights

  • Giugiaro's rare and notable design for Bertone

The Plus

In the 60s, if you wanted to enhance the styling of your sports coupe, you turned to Italy. When SIMCA approached Bertone to do just that, they gave the job to a promising young designer.
His name was Giorgetto Giugiaro, and the SIMCA 1000 Coupé Bertone was one of his first designs. As can be seen from this magnificent car in metallic grey livery, Giugiaro was a styling genius from the outset, drawing elegant lines interspersed with meticulous detail.
The bodies of the 1000 Coupé were built by Bertone and then sent to SIMCA for finishing. These cars were expensive and are now rare but sought-after finds in the world of modern classics. This one is in very good condition with a striking redone 'Verte Menthe' fabric interior.
The quality is evident in the photos and confirmed by a long term MOT valid until July 2026, with no structural or mechanical remarks.
