The Appeal
The Silver Cloud III was the very last of a certain type of body-on-chassis, fully coach-built Rolls-Royce. It is a byword for majestic motoring and the 547 RHD cars built are models to saviour.
This 1964 example is an original UK market, RHD car that was first finished by the factory in Regency Red. The current Georgian Silver paint scheme is the result of a high end 2003 restoration by a Rolls-Royce main dealer. The car’s subsequent sparing use, mostly by its current keeper of 22 years, explains its high state of preservation. The quality of the work earned the car second place at a 2012 RREC Concours event.
The thick history file attests to the current keeper’s lavish care. We are told that £15,000 has been invested in recent years and there are invoices to support this in the photos. Work has included a gearbox rebuild and attention to the suspension kingpins alongside regular servicing.
It is an indication of the current keeper’s meticulousness and the quality of the car that it comes to market with a voluntary MOT valid to October 2025 with no advisories. It offers transparency and further reassurance to the buyer.
