The Appeal

Whilst other 3.4L Mk2 Jaguars were being driven on their doorhandles around less salubrious areas of London’s East End by ‘60s ‘entrepreneurs’ escaping the long arm of the law, this car led an altogether more sun-kissed, cossetted life.
Before arriving back in the UK in August 2020, it first lived in Spain before finding itself in Florida. Amidst the palm trees it was extensively restored, switching from the original green to a more appropriate gold metallic which it retains. The bare metal respray was executed to a high level and also included a thorough mechanical overhaul. The interior has also been enhanced with the seats from a XJ40, complete with picnic tables and electrical operation for the front pair.
The result is a very stylish Mk2 in great condition and perfect for shows or long-distance touring. Recent investment includes nearly £2,500 of general repairs, servicing and brake overhaul. There is also a new starter motor.
It is perhaps no surprise to discover, as you peruse the photos, that this car has won several show trophies. It is a lovely example of the beautiful Mk2 and one your passengers will find equally comfortable and enjoyable.
