The Appeal
The original ‘little mouse’ Topolino 500 may have been Fiat's proof of concept for a small family car - but it was the ‘nuova’ 500 that catapulted it into a true pop culture icon. It not only informed the popular image of a small car, it informed practically every Fiat family car that came after it. Austere to the limit and reductionist by nature, these little cars were built to be inexpensive and affordable.
This remarkable little Fiat is DVLA registered as a ‘64 but is actually a 1966 model. In the same family from new to June 2023, with two owners since, this Fiat has been restored in recent years and is in superb factory-standard condition. These cars are still eminently drivable and incredibly economic - perhaps a good shot for a particularly inexpensive daily driver.
The History and Paperwork
