The plus
The 2 CV is undoubtedly one of the most important cars in the history of the European automobile. This iconic car is reputed to have enabled French rural populations, devastated by the war, to abandon the horse and get behind the wheel. With its unique long-travel suspension, attractive looks and affordable price, the 2 CV was one of those classic cars that remained in production for decades, and continues to endure today.
This 1964 AZAM example is one of the 'improved' models of the 'Deuche' with a little more trim and chrome, while retaining the original model's austere and simple personality. It is an excellent project, with recent work including servicing of the brakes and drums, as well as the fitting of a new convertible top. The vehicle is in excellent working order, starting immediately with no overheating or problems encountered to date.
