The Appeal
Perhaps one of the most iconic American cars of all time, and almost certainly the most iconic of the Corvettes, the C2 was an aerodynamic masterpiece. Loaded with muscle, it made great use of wind tunnel testing - something that hadn't often been used in mass-production cars beforehand, and was a brand new technology for Chevrolet.
Those sleek lines would go on to influence every Corvette that followed. It was so different from the original C1 that it earned a name of its own, influenced by those smooth, almost organic shapes and high-octane speeds: The Sting Ray. That name became a central symbol of automotive culture, and it's arguably a reputation that Chevrolet has never managed to capture in quite the same way since.
This 1964 example is a great ambassador for just how special the Sting Ray was. Boasting a 5.3-litre V8 engine providing an incredible 300hp, this Corvette was fully restored in the USA before arriving in Poland in 2018. It's been fully appraised, featured in Automobilista Magazine, and very well cared for.
This is one of the ultimate American sports cars - and it's well worth, if not demanding of your interest.
