The Attractions

The Abarth 850 TC is a legendary name in the world of classic racing. Originally built for Group 2 competition, the nimble 850 TC was a huge success in its day. Very few originals remain, making replicas extremely popular, and here we have a particularly well-made example, completed between 2019 and 2021. It truly captures the essence of the original, focusing on authenticity and quality in every detail and is fitted with an Abarth 214 engine.

The registration documentation has been prepared so that the car is ready for European export or re-registration in Italy with the original 1963 number plate. With only 77 kilometres on the clock after restoration, this is a unique opportunity to own a fabulous replica that is aesthetically pleasing and a pleasure to drive.

The interior is a meticulous replica of the original, using period-correct Jaeger instruments, a sports steering wheel and lowered seats. Outside, we find original Cromodora alloy wheels and a racing-inspired grey paint job.
Having been used very little since the restoration, it shows no obvious signs of wear.

The Mechanics

  • Equipped with a new Abarth 214 engine with a power output of 75 hp (and a cost of €7,000 - €8,000)
  • The four-speed manual gearbox has been completely overhauled with the replacement of any worn components
  • New clutch
  • Both front and rear radiators have been rebuilt to Abarth specifications
  • We have been informed that it runs well and drives as it should, with no defects to report
  • Used very little since the end of the restoration
What makes this replica particularly good is the use of the correct Abarth 214 engine, obtained at considerable cost. Although it has covered very few kilometres since it was completed, we have been informed that it starts regularly and drives very well, with plenty of power available to race this little car.
