1963 Austin Mini Van

Highlights

  • Attractive example of the iconic Mini Van
  • Smooth-roofed example with later subframe
  • Evocative period colour scheme
  • Impressive paperwork file

The Appeal

The Mini Van was unusually popular for a commercial - no doubt thanks to the bureaucratic side of the British market allowing a commercial vehicle to be bought with zero sales tax.
The austere yet perky performance of the Mini was perfectly intact, with a surprisingly versatile and sizable rear bed and a rathermore utilitarian appearance. The Mini van, to facilitate ease of use and low costs, dispensed of much of the chromework.
To this day, they’re almost as beloved as the car they were adapted from - and we’re sure this example will be no exception. With a wonderfully evocative colour scheme and a few gentle upgrades fitted in the past, this van will no doubt prove to be a very capable classic.
