The Appeal
The MGA may well be one of the most successful British classics in history. Seeing origins in George Phillips’s racing car, designed by MG engineer and stylist Syd Enever for the 1951 Le Mans, it was a tight-handling, nimble and inimitable fun roadster with a market-leading aerodynamic design. The result was that it set a new standard, and continues to be highly beloved today - a callback to a time when the top-down sports car was a great British art form.
This particular 1962 car has been meticulously restored and rebuilt by John Hewitt Racing in 2015. The car's Iris Blue exterior couples up perfectly with its matching blue upholstery and sets a beautiful retro image. Offered in fine fettle, and eminently drivable, we've no doubt this attractive example will get plenty of admiring glances.
