1962 MG MGA (Series II)

Highlights

  • Rare MG A Mk2 with just over 8,000 units produced
  • Imported from dry Texas to Sweden in 2005
  • Comprehensive restoration completed in 2018
  • Gearbox overhauled by the current owner
  • Complete set of documents and period manuals

The Appeal

The MGA was leagues ahead of its MG predecessors. With streamlined bodywork honed at Le Mans and an all-new four-cylinder engine we'd later know as the inimitable B Series, it set Abingdon on a trajectory towards success, and became one of the most succesful British sports cars of the twentieth century.

With just over 8,000 Mk2 MGAs produced, this model is a rare find and highly sought after by collectors. This example was imported from the dry climes of Texas to Sweden in 2005. It underwent a comprehensive restoration between 2016 and 2018, ensuring it is now in fine condition. The current owner has addressed any post-restoration issues, including a gearbox overhaul, making this car ready for the road. With a recent oil service and carburettor adjustment, this MG A Mk2 is fully prepared for its next adventure.
