The Appeal
The quintessential 1960s Jaguar. There is perhaps no model that personified the advertising slogan “Grace, Space, Pace” developed by Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons to describe his fleet of production cars better than the MK2. To this day the marque is synonymous with quality executive saloon cars and so much of that comes down to the reputation forged by the legendary icon of the 1960s roadscene.
Lavishly appointed, well styled and impressively capable from a dynamic perspective, it was a firm favourite for the authorities, government bodies, and some less than savoury characters of the bank robbing variety. Cut forward to present day and the MK2 is perhaps one of the most desirable and collectible Jaguars in the classic car world.
In a striking opalescent red factory colourway, this 1962 MOD 3.4 litre variant is a wonderful presentation of the esteemed model. In great usable condition it makes an excellent candidate for entry into the rewarding world of classic Jaguar ownership.
