The Attractions
The Fiat 1200 Cabriolet was presented in 1959 to replace the Fiat 1200 Trasformabile, whose mechanical base was derived from the prestigious Fiat 1200 Granluce of 1957.
Its elegant, dynamic and timeless lines by Pininfarina immediately made it one of the most desirable small sports cars and make it one of the most admired and collectible vintage Fiat cars today.
This particular example, restored a few years ago, is in splendid shape, in its bright red colouring, with shiny chrome, replaced during the restoration, and impeccably finished.
The seller has informed us that the original black number plates and the precious original hard top are available on request.
The two-tone interior appears very well cared for, with the classic body-coloured dashboard and many precious details, such as the original three-spoke sports steering wheel, the large round instruments and the new soft top with intact and transparent rear window.
The mechanics have been carefully restored and overhauled recently and the seller informs us that the car is in perfect condition and ready to drive and will be checked further by his workshop before delivery to the buyer to ensure its efficiency.
ASI-registered, accompanied by a Certificate of Historic and Collectors' Relevance and with overhaul valid until 2026, this splendid spider with its timeless charm will give great excitement to its next lucky owner.
