The Appeal
It makes no difference if you have millions to spend, if you’re seeking a pure, raw, unadulterated driving experience, buy a Lotus Seven. It’s as simple as that.
Masterminded by the great Colin Chapman, as a roadgoing racing car eligible for the competitive Clubman class, the Seven is the ultimate embodiment of Lotus’ mantra “simplify and add lightness”.
It has spawned numerous generations, clones and homages over the years, but here we have one of the originals. This Series II Super Seven has been subject to a comprehensive restoration and now presents beautifully throughout. The vendor demonstrates that the rebuilt 1,500 cc Ford engine runs very well, snarling eagerly through those double-barrel Weber carbs.
Seldom are such well-sorted genuine Lotus Sevens offered for sale, so be sure not to miss the chance to acquire this fabulous example.
