The Appeal

In the aftermath of World War II, Italy was in a state of extreme poverty. However, there were great opportunities for an engineer who could devise a diesel tractor with limited resources, and this is exactly what the enterprising young engineer Ferruccio Lamborghini managed to do. He developed an innovative fuel atomisation system for Morris commercial engines.

At the time, almost all tractors were still water-cooled and Ferruccio was one of the first innovators in the industry, launching his fabulous air-cooled diesel engines in the early 1960s. The wealth accumulated from the success of his tractors led him to build the great Lamborghini sports cars we all know today. Therefore, no Lamborghini collection is truly complete without one of his tractors, a symbol of his great ingenuity.

Here we have a beautiful 2R that has undergone a complete restoration by its current owner, an engineer with five years of experience in restoring Lamborghini collector tractors. Beautifully restored, very easy to drive and ready to use, this tractor is a fabulous testimony to Lamborghini history that undoubtedly deserves a place in any collection.
