The Appeal
First introduced in 1950, there was a lot of Americanisms to be found in the Zephyr. This was the largest car by Ford of Britain all the way up until its replacement by the Consul and Granada, and was loaded with Detroit-esque styling, smatterings of chrome and that elegant profile that seemed to capture the Mother Road era so eagerly.
Perhaps it was a combination of these exoticisms that made them so popular with the British public. This particular Zephyr comes to us in a desirable Convertible set up, and has clearly been pampered - It's been with the current owner for over a decade and still looks as bright as a pin, backed by a pretty impressive paperwork file.
