The Appeal
The 2CV was a post-war work of pure genius. Austere to the extreme and carring a remarkably innovative long-travel suspension, the 'tin snail' proved itself as one of the most successful cars in European history - and certainly the most influential. As time has gone on, they continue to evoke plenty of emotion, and have developed a fiercely passionate fanbase.
This fine, relatively early example was discovered as a barn find - and the vendor, a dedicated enthusiast, embarked upon a restoration that maintained its unique patina. This has ranged from a mechanical rebuild, to a new chassis and floor, to a new interior and roll-back roof. The result is a beautiful car that's loaded with character.
We understand that it's now ready and waiting to take to the road with its lucky new owner, who we've no doubt will be utterly charmed by it.
