Microcars were very popular in the 1950s and early 1960s, as most people simply couldn't justify the cost of a conventional car. One of the lesser-known microcars from this era is the British three-wheeled Scootacar, made by locomotive manufacturer Hunslet Engine Company. Rumour has it that the wife of one of the directors complained that her Jaguar was too difficult to park, and so the Scootacar was born!

Designed by Henry Brown, who had already produced the Rodley microcar, the Scootacar was powered by a small Villiers two-stroke engine. Production lasted seven years, and even today, these cars have a strong following in the microcar community. If you collect Isettas, Heinkels, Trojans and Messerschmitts, this is a model you need to add to your garage - and you certainly don't need much extra space!

This MkI appears to be in very good condition. It comes with its UK registration and V5C booklet.
