The Appeal

If you wanted a luxury car between the mid '50s and '60s, chances are a Silver Cloud was going to be your first pick. Nowadays, if you're after a real old-money aesthetic, your decision is no doubt going to the same place. Bridging the gap perfectly between the high-fronted, curvy luxury of the past and the slab-sided modernisation efforts that followed. These cars were real trendsetters in their time, and are perhaps one of the most recognisable luxury motors in history. Brand, performance and luxury in one grand package.

This fine example comes with a complete history of ownership, and, having been through a complete bare metal restoration 15 years ago, is in utterly fine order. The car has been a cherished wedding vehicle in recent years, and still looks very bit as charming, romantic and evocative as you'd expect for one of these legendary British classics.

Vendors comments: "Our Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II made an appearance in “The Body Stealers” (1969; Sagittarius Productions; A Tigon Picture). The film starred George Sanders, Maurice Evans and Patrick Allen. The Director was Gerry Levy while the Producer was Tony Tenser and was filmed in London. The genre was science fiction and the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud was used to convey a VIP from “The Ministry” in the London"
