The Appeal
Built between 1958 and 1961, the Series II was the first major evolution of the original concept and its David Bache-penned lines would be used up until 2016. That makes it a very important vehicle in Land Rover's illustrious history and we're delighted to offer this very usable example from 1960.
In its open-topped configuration, complete with canvas tilt, this Land Rover looks a lot of fun. While it does require some minor work, such as replacing the outriggers and addressing a previous repair on the rear crossmember, it runs very well, is eminently drivable and has been garaged during recent years. It's been refinished in military drab paintwork which really suits its utilitarian design and matches the tine-earned patina of the bodywork.
For those seeking a nice little winter project, this would be a great candidate.
