The Appeal
Jaguar’s Mk2 was the clever makeover that outshone the original and became the doyen of bank robbers and bank managers. In 220bhp 3.8litre guise it was the original ‘super saloon’ and remains one of the most collectable of classic cars over 60 years after it went into production.
This smart 1960 3.8 Mk2 appears to have spent much of its life in America before moving to Finland and more recently to Italy. Clearly restored with later paintwork and a cream interior it usefully has power steering and an automatic gearbox to improve drivability. Usable and practical for trips with family and friends, it is a stylish and tempting prospect.
