The Appeal
The MGA, like many post-war MGs was a huge success overseas. It radically updated the MG brand, moving away from the tried-and-tested styling of previous models and introduced a more flowing, curved aesthetic.
It also introduced the BMC B-Series engine, a capable four-cylinder unit which was produced for many decades. This gave the MGA a good turn of speed, delivered to the rear wheels through a manual transmission.
This particular MG spent most of its life in the US, before being imported to the EU from Arizona. Having spent time in this dry state, the car was found to be in good condition but it was nevertheless treated to a respray, which remains beautifully fresh. The interior is similarly smart, completing the car’s great overall appearance.
