The Appeal
Introduced in 1958, Royal Enfield's newest bike, the Meteor Minor, was a direct follow up to their 1948 500-Twin motorcycle. It was a short-stroke twin-engined bike that offered impressive proportions, satisfying performance and - crucially - offered it at a reasonable price. It was a sure factor for success.
This particular 1958 model has a rich history, having been purchased second-hand around 1965, sold around 1977, and then re-acquired approximately 20 years ago. It was used for vintage runs until it was declared off-road (SORN) about 10 years ago.
This bike has been refurbished with new wheels, and has been stored in a dry lock-up, preserving its condition. The bike has been used regularly until about 5 or 6 years ago for vintage runs, and is now ready for its new owner.
