The Appeal
The Velox is a Bedfordshire-built, Yankee-inspired family car that was intended to take the fight to the Ford Zephyr. These cars were loaded with deco detailing - thoughtful, complex brightwork peppered the car's three-box structure in a way that called back the undeniably extravagant lines of Detroit's output at the time.
SWK 292 is one of the rare survivors of this elusive classic - one of only 12 believed to still be on the road in the UK. It's coming fresh from a recent restoration, completed in the end of 2023, which has also included the refreshment of its Silver Straw paintwork and Garnet Red. To celebrate its return to the road, the car hit the NEC Practical Classics Restoration Show in November 2023.
It's a truly spectacular result - and an incredibly rare groove for any enthusiast. How can you possibly resist those movie-star good looks?
