The Appeal
Perhaps one of the most iconic cars of mid-century American automotive design, the Thunderbird - or T-Bird as it's affectionately known - is a fascinating example of a luxury convertible. Intended as an alternative to the Chevrolet Corvette, the car was never promoted as a performance piece - though it was still quick on its feet - but instead offered top-notch levels of cruising comfort, something that it quickly found a niche for. You could go so far to say it felt distinctly European.
This particular example has been well-maintained, with regular servicing and a solid body that has stood the test of time. Loaded with pleasant patina and offering a truly distinctive drive, this car is sure to attract plenty of admiring glances. Pop on a cassette, leave the roof down and let the world go by - you'll soon be the centre of attention.
